About GABRIEL
Born in Mexico, Gabriel moved to the United States with his family at the end of 2013. Starting over in a new country without speaking English meant repeating first grade, an early challenge that helped shape his adaptability, determination, and resilience. Today, he is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Always active and energetic, Gabriel discovered his passion for volleyball in junior high and gravitated toward the setter position, where his strategic thinking, communication, and competitive nature come together. Gabriel has a diverse athletic background including karate, jiu-jitsu, swimming, and lifeguarding, along with a love of chess.
Gabriel hopes to continue developing as a student-athlete while bringing his work ethic, resilience, leadership, and love of the game to a collegiate volleyball program.
